A lot of good TV shows have been recently canceled. Alcatraz was just okay, but I was entertained. The Finder was a great show. What a terrible way to end it. Unless of course, the plan is to get the fans riled up and try to get it renewed somewhere else. Then it was a brilliant way to end it. I choose to ignore the ending, because I have too little faith in humanity to believe that it can be brought back.

Especially when I see great shows canceled like Awake. What a huge disappointment, that they do not give this more of a chance. What are you watching besides Awake? This is the smartest show to come along in a while. What a wonderful premise! What a phenomenal lead actor! Some shows just need to be given a chance to pick up steam. Heaven forbid we have a show on TV that actually makes you think again.

I mean, honestly, Touch gets picked up but not Awake?!? I really have trouble making it through a full episode of Touch. I like Kiefer, and the idea is sound, but watching him chase the kid around and interacting with people for no apparent reason, just doesn’t do it for me. I say that having only seen a couple of episodes, so take that for what it is worth. As I get more time, if my opinion changes I will certainly correct myself here. Honestly, (and this may be my own issue) I just don’t think I can get past Jack Bower. I am truly sorry Mr. Sutherland.

Awake is brilliant, although a little slow to get the main story rolling. The directing is solid and clean, the differences between realities is easy to follow when it needs to be and  (I’m not completely caught up, but I am getting there.) My only hope at this point is that they resolve it somehow and not leave us with a Finder or an Alcatraz type ending. The beauty of Awake is how the realities intertwine and can even affect one another. The overall concept is so solid it will be a shame to let that idea go. I suppose someone could try to improve upon the concepts and run with it, but I really like the way these stories roll.

And just when I really started to like Harry’s Law they kill it too. Oh well, that one I can live without. It just became a new Boston Legal anyway. The cases are all in the same vein and the characters are a little too similar. It’s like James Spader and Kathy Bates tagged in while they were on the set of The Office together.

And last but by no means, least... One of the most wonderful shows to watch, ever... House M.D.

There is so much more I want to say with regard to House, but I just can't. So I will just say, "bravo."

Telemarketers don't like me.

If you call me out of the blue, uninvited, trying to sell me something for $300.00. I'm going to be suspicious. Sorry BloggersMakingMoney. That's just me. Stop calling me now and please don't sell my phone number to someone else like I know you are going to do.

Wanna buy AnInconvenientBlog.com from me? I can't ever spell it anyway. Make me an offer.
